This year I’m stoked for TWO not one, but TWO festivals. First off is my return to Festival International and happy to see that Angelique Kidjo is playing on friday night as the headliner. This makes me happy. I look forward to my yearly trip to the city of boudin and cajun/french music. https://www.festivalinternational.org/ This year I plan on hitting up on lake martin and getting out there on the water. I’ve got my love of swamps in my heart, and what better place to be then on the water.

Next up is a new festival for me. In Norfolk Va. https://festevents.org/events/2023/bayou/

this one is exciting cause my neighbor is headlining two nights. Big Sam’s Funky Nation. Amanda Shaw, Anders Osborne, Cha Wa, and the Louisiana Artists Guild has Louisiana Artists filling up the booths. I cannot wait for this one. I love new places and new festivals. I also have friends out in this area, and I can’t wait to see you.

I’ve been out on Jackson Square, and loving this time of year when the weather is sunny, but not too blazing. This city is gearing up for French Quarter Fest and Jazzfest. Most likely you won’t see my out there for either of those festivals, as I’m building my inventory for travel. I do go out weekly, and you’ll have to follow me on Facebook, and Instagram for those dates. Its all weather oriented for me.

Also, make sure you buy a copy of Cherie Dimalines New Book Ven Co. https://www.kirkusreviews.com/book-reviews/cherie-dimaline/venco/ as yours truly is the “booker” in New Orleans for this great read.
